A joint paper from Malaysia and Iran investigates the determinants of Iranian investment in Dubai's real estate sector (IIDRE) over the period 20001-2008. Using a time-series regression analysis, the empirical results reveal that Iran's external conflicts, bilateral trade between Iran and Dubai and Iranian wealth could contribute positively to the expansion of IIDRE.

We review the situation of energy in the Middle East and the wealth of new options the region can take advantage of with renewable energy technologies.
