Theft of Our Combined Cultural Heritage

As Baghdad was falling to coalition forces in April 2003, the international media reported that the Iraq Museum had been ransacked and more than 170,000 of the finest antiquities from the very cradle of civilization had been stolen while U.S. forces stood idle.(1)

These items have no value whatsoever to a single thief, 'fence' or collector but they are priceless items to those members of humanity who are proud of our journey along the road to civilisation.

Again this represents theft from all of us by a corrupt few.

While this dies not refer to our esteemed readers, we simply ask on behalf of Iraq, and the people of the planet - to give them back.
